Sulfo-SMCC crosslinker(Sulfosuccinimidyl-4-[N-maleimidomethyl]cyclohexane-1-carboxylate) is a water soluble, heterobifunctionalcrosslinker. Sulfo-SMCC crosslinking reagent has an 8.3 angstrom non-cleavablespacer arm and its maleimide group reacts with sulfhydryls (thiols), while the Sulfo-NHS ester is reactive towardprimary amines. Sulfo-SMCC can be used to produce antibody-protein crosslinkedconjugates or efficiently label cell surface proteins.
